Blood Donation Camp was organized in Kasturba Nursing College with support of MGIMS Blood Bank Team on 07 March 2022.
Total 14 candidate have donated blood including Employees and students of Kasturba Nursing College.
Certificates were distributed to all the candidates for the same.
Kasturba Nursing College celebrated its Graduation day on Thursday, the 16th June 2022 in its campus. The Chief Guest of the program was Dr. B.S. Garg, Secretary. Kasturba Health Society. The dignitaries adorned the dais and after the customary invocation song and lighting the lamp,
Mr. Vinay Gawali, Welcomed all the dignitaries, invitees, parents, faculty and graduates. In this ceremony, students from Basic B.Sc Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing and M.Sc. Nursing Courses were awarded with their degrees. The Best Outgoing Student Award was received by Ms. Komal
Vitale for her outstanding Performance throughout the course. The Chief Guest Dr. B.S. Garg in his address
he pointed out that Learning is a Continuous Process by the hard work and Dedication by teachers in shaping the graduates as a responsible citizens of the country. He also Congratulated Dr. (Mrs.) Usha Shende for receiving first Doctorate Degree in our College and Felicitated her Shawl,
Sudgundi and Shrifal.Graduates expressed joyful gratitude to the faculty and the management in moulding them as professionals in the course of study in our Institution. With this it was declared that graduation day closed. Then Ms. Rama Danapure delivered the vote of thanks and the function
ended with the national anthem.
Program was organized for International Midwives Day on 5th May 2022 in Kasturba Nursing College, Sewagram at 11 am.
This day is celebrated to recognize the midwives. The theme of day was “100 years of progress”. Dr. B.S. Garg, Secretary,
Kasturba Health Society, Addressed Midwives for their Contribution. Final Year Basic B.Sc. Nursing Students Participated in
Various Activities like Role Play, Poster Competition and preparation of thali showing diet for Ante Natal And Post Natal Mothers.
Various Presentation on Midwifery care was given by International and National Midwife Trainers.
A program was conducted on World No Tobacco Day on 31St May 2022 in Kasturba Nursing College, Sewagram at 10 Am at Medicine Department of Kasturba Hospital,
Sewagram in the presence of teaching staff, staff nurses and general population. This day is celebrated to recognize the No Tobacco day. The theme of day was
“Tobacco: A threat to our environment”.The program was hosted by P. B. B. Sc. 2nd Year student of Kasturba Nursing College, Sewagram. Role play was performed by
the 2nd year B. B. Sc. Nursing and display the posters of No Tobacco day and also provided Health Education regarding prevention, complication and risk factors of tobacco.
The program was concluded with the vote of thanks by student of B. B. Sc. Nursing 2nd year.
Nurses Day Program was organized Kasturba Nursing College on 11th and 12th May 2022. The Theme of this year was
"A Voice to Lead – Invest in nursing and respect rights to secure global health", focusing on the need to protect,
and invest in the nursing profession to strengthen health systems around the world. Various Activities are organized
by students on 11th May 2022 including Dance, Role Play, Skit and Poster competition where all the students participated
Actively. At Last Prize Distribution was done and Tribute was given to Florence Nightingale by Passing the lamp from all the
teachers. Next Day Cake Cutting Ceremony was done in presence of Faculty of Kasturba Nursing College, Kasturba Nursing School
and Staff of Kasturba Hospital. In this program all the Covid Warrior Nurses shared Their Experience and received appreciation for
the same. Members of Jhpiego Dr. Kamlesh and Ms. Bijali Sinha gave speech on Nurses Day.
Under Community Extension Activity "ARPAN", Kasturba Nursing College has organized
various activities on 12/02/2022 in collaboration with Umeed Sankalp NGO.
It was 1st July to 5th July 2022; Kasturba Nursing College, Sevagram took a great
initiative to plant Saplings on the College campus on the occasion of World Environment Day.
This is an important step of afforestation to maintain the ecological balance of nature.
All the students and teachers participated in this program. The aim of the program is to plant
a total of 200 saplings on the College campus and nearby local areas. One by one student and teachers
started planting saplings. Students of respective classes were given the scheduled time earlier and were
asked to report their accordingly. The teachers and students all indulged in the process of plantation. It proved to be a great way to involve students actively in the drive and making them more conscious and aware about the environment and its conservation.WHO Day was organized in Kasturba Nursing College, Sewagram on 7th April 2022.
The program was Conducted in collaboration with International and National Midwifery Educators.
The theme for this year was “Our Planet, Our Health.” The students of Kasturba nursing College
participated in various activities like Role Play, Poster Display and presentation about the topic.
Jhpiego Representative Ms. Bijali Sinha and International and National Midwife educator gave Presentation on the theme.
International Women day was celebrated in Kasturba Nursing College, Sevagram on 8th March 2022.
The program was organized by students of Kasturba Nursing College where students participated
in various activities like Role Play, Poster Competition, Speeches on women empowerment and singing
dedicated to women. Students were dressed up according to the inspirational women who contributed
a lot for welfare of the society.
World Schizophrenia Day was celebrated in Kasturba Nursing College, Sewagram on 24th May 2022.
The theme for this year was "Living with the mental illness". Various Activities were conducted
Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing II year and M.Sc. II year students such as Role Play, Poster Display
and Health Education. Awareness Speech was given by Faculty of Psychiatry Department regarding
mental health to the patients and relatives of psychiatric ward.
International Yoga Day is celebrated every year on 21 June to raise awareness
worldwide about the benefits of Yoga in daily life. Yoga brings balance between
body, soul and mind. It helps us to understand the purpose of life and how to survive
in the changing environment.8th International Yoga day was celebrated by the students
and the Faculty of Kasturba Nursing College. The Theme for this year was 'Yoga for
Humanity'. Various Asanas were performed by Students and Faculty and also their benefits
has been explained to students. As the pandemic COVID-19 continued this year also, yoga is
helping people to stay energetic and have strong immune system.
